Refrigerator

Refrigerators are appliances used to keep things cool. This is commonly called as ‘Fridge’. This consists of a cooling engine and a thermal insulated part. The objects to be kept cold should be placed on the insulated part. The objects (mostly food items and beverages) inside are maintained at a temperature almost equal to the freezing point. This prevents the bacterial infection on the objects.

Initially freezers were used in factories. These freezers used gases which are dangerous due to which it was not used in houses. First commercial home based fridge came into existence during the year 1915. It used non-toxic Freon gas.
